UPDATED COVID-19 WINTER STORAGE REMOVAL
We have received countless inquiries regarding how we will be
handling winter storage removal in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you
for your patience and understanding as we thoughtfully made a decision
regarding how to handle this in the midst of unprecedented circumstances. After
speaking with the Minnesota Department of Health and meeting as a board of
directors, we have decided to CONTINUE with winter storage removal AS PLANNED.
Please pick up any/all items stored on the Anoka County Fair Grounds on
Saturday, April 10th between 8am-1pm and Monday, April 12th between 3pm-8pm. Please
allow extra time for pick up, as we will be practicing social distancing and
will be working to limit any/all physical contact between our staff and between
other individuals. To do this safely and efficiently, we will need everyone’s
patience and cooperation. If you are unable to pick up your items due to health
or COVID-19 related circumstances, please call the fair office as soon as
possible, we will be making exceptions on a case-by-case basis because our
primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of the county residents we work
diligently to serve throughout the year. For further explanation on how we came
to this decision, please continue reading.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, the Anoka
County Fair is deemed an essential business and therefore exempt from the
shelter-at-home laws put into place by the MN Governor earlier this week. All
storage facilities fall under order number 4931, which clearly states
warehouses are able to continue conducting business as usual. Furthermore, we
understand that part of social distancing may include being on a boat or
camping in nature, so we want to make that option readily available to you in
this time.
Again, health and safety is our primary concern so if you
have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us directly. We look
forward to seeing you on April 10th or 12th. Until then, stay safe!
