Kids Day - Clay Ice Cream Bowl Class

Tuesday July 21 Creative Corner Craft Workshop

No experience needed!
  • Tuesday July 21st @ 1-3pm
  • Creative Arts Building at The Anoka County Fair
  • Ages: 5+
  • Max: 15 students
Sculpt your favorite animal or subject to add to the exterior of your bowl for 3D elements. Add color and additional texture using underglaze and sgraffito technique. Clay projects will be taken back to Rumriver Art Center to be fired and clear glazed and ready for pick in approximately 3 weeks. Pick up will be at Rumriver Art Center. Bowls are food-safe, microwave, and dishwasher safe!

Cost: $25 and includes all art supplies, instruction, and Tuesday Gate Admission to The 2026 Anoka County Fair.

Come and create with clay - no experience needed! Learn how to form a small bowl
using the pinch pot technique. Sculpt your favorite animal or subject to add to the
exterior of your bowl for 3D elements. Lastly, add color and additional texture!
Gate & Craft Class $25.00 Come and create with clay - no experience needed! Cut the outline of your desired tile
shape from a clay slab. Learn coil and sculpting techniques to add a design to your tile.
Using underglaze and the sgraffito technique, you’ll add color and additional texture and
designs! Put two holes on the top so when you get them back you can wire and place
on the wall for display! Clay projects will be taken back to Rumriver Art Center to be
fired and clear glazed and ready for pick in approximately 3 weeks. Pick up will be at
Rumriver Art Center.
